Salary: $124,000 - 134,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• At least two years of MS SQL Server administration experience, or a combination of education and two to four years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and PowerShell, Enterprise Query Standards, and SQL query evaluation using execution plans, DMVs, Profiler, or Extended Events.
• Hands-on professional experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
• Sound judgment and analytical problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organization and time-management skills; able to multitask, work independently, and prioritize competing demands.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, manage pressure, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Data warehousing tools and WhereScape Red experience are a plus.
• Candidates must live in Charlotte, NC, or the surrounding area and be able to work from our Charlotte office every Tuesday.
• Candidates will be assessed on the knowledge relevant to the position.

• Respond to technical requests from users of our products and systems, quickly analyzing available data to identify the cause of issues.
• Install and configure SQL database environments, and implement schemas, tables, views, and other data objects in line with best practices and our design standards.
• Follow our Enterprise Query Standards and change management policies when making data changes in partnership with application support specialists and developers.
• Coordinate with application support during quarterly releases.
• Review queries flagged as potentially harmful to production, improving their scalability, availability, and efficiency.
• Migrate changes through development, test, staging, and UAT environments, then deploy approved changes to production.
• Review SQL Server features, trace-flag updates, and operational changes ahead of version migrations or upgrades.
• Optimize and tune SQL code using execution plans, system DMVs, and third-party tools.
• Create and maintain database diagrams and operational documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
